Mask? I Did NOT Know About NO MASK Until Now 3/28/2020
Mask both of us. My BFF Tara have been both staying at my place since Feb. 22nd when we both started experiencing sniffles, a mild fever and some muscle aches. So Tara and I drove all the way to a Covid-19 mobile testing center in Cochella Valley on Feb. 24th. We had made an appointment but still had to wait 45 minutes in line.
We Tested Negative
But we continued to wear our masks when outside until today when I stumbled upon the Surgeon General’s tweet above.
This Should be a Public Service Announcement Everywhere All the Time
Every medium online and off should be used to get this message out. Our “Leaders” should have advertised these PSA’s EV-RE-WHERE at least when the Surgeon General made his announcement on Twitter. If they had, maybe there wouldn’t be the shortage of available mask for our Medical Professionals and Workers.
Wear a Facemask if You are Sick
If you are sick: You should wear a facemask when you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. If you are not able to wear a facemask (for example, because it causes trouble breathing), then you should do your best to cover your coughs and sneezes, and people who are caring for you should wear a facemask if they enter your room. Learn what to do if you are sick.
If you are NOT sick: You do not need to wear a facemask unless you are caring for someone who is sick (and they are not able to wear a facemask). Facemasks may be in short supply and they should be saved for caregivers.
